The Joy In Your Heart...

Most of you know or have heard of the stand up comedian, Brian Regan. He is one of my favorites, just hilarious. Scott got us AMAZING tickets to see him in Idaho. So a couple weeks ago we ventured up to Idaho to see him. We were seriously about 4 rows from the front and right in the center. It was so awesome and Brian was hysterical. Got some pics of us waiting excitedly to see the man...

(Totally did this by accident. It looks like I am kissing his cheek and I didn't even mean for that to happen. Thought it was awesome.)

One of my favorite jokes Brian told had to do with children. I probably won't relay this very well, but I had to share: He was talking about how kids are so funny and are always doing the craziest things to get into trouble etc. He was talking about dinner one night at his house- and it was spaghetti. His son put the end of a noodle in his mouth with the noodle trailing down to the plate and Brian thought he was going to slurp the noodle into his mouth and make a mess. Instead, his son started twirling the noodle around and around his head and splashed spaghetti sauce everywhere. Then Brian says, "What am I supposed to do? Tell the kid to stop because their is a big mess in the kitchen?? Tell him 'Can't you see the paint on the walls is more important than the joy in your heart!?'" Ha ha ha ha. I loved it.

For the 4th of July this year, Scott and I decided to throw out all our regular traditions and try something new. Again- we decided to go up to Idaho. We heard that Idaho Falls puts on a pretty spectacular firework show, and fireworks are my favorite. So we made a short day out of it and went up. We sat right on the lake and found the best spot to camp out and wait for the show. It did not disappoint- it was so great! Really awesome firework show.

We are all so blessed to live in this country and enjoy the freedoms and liberty we have. Thanks to all the men and women who serve our country and protect us. Hope everyone had a Happy Independence Day!
