My Old Love

For years I played the piano and I was pretty good! I quit back in high school and I have been wanting to pick it back up. My fantabulous husband found this beauty for me and let me buy it!

It is a gorgeous cherry wood and it has an amazing sound to it! I practiced last night for a while and realized how much I LOVE playing! I can't wait to get some of my favorite songs down again.

Looks pretty good, hu!? I am in love with it and I love my man! Thank you for finding this piano for me and for letting me buy it! You are the BEST!

Easter

This was our first Easter celebration as a married couple! And it was a super busy, yet enjoyable day. We woke up nice and early and went to my side of the family's stake conference. Elder Richard Scott was the speaker! He gave a great talk and we are thankful we were invited along. We enjoyed a tasty lunch at my Nana and Papa's house and got to see all the cousins. It's always nice to see the fam!

After lunch, we travelled back up to eat dinner with Scott's side of the family.

Reminiscing on past Easter holidays...When I was little, my mom would make jell-O Easter eggs- and boy did I love them! So I decided it would be fun to make them for the nieces.

Here are the Jell-O eggs we made!
I think the girls and rest of the family enjoyed them and found it pretty fun.

After dinner we ventured out into the big field for the Egg Hunt!

We have 8 nieces all together but four of them live far away in Idaho. Which is sad cause we miss them all the time. (But I think we get to see them in just a couple weeks!) There are four nieces that live right here with us, but one is only a month and a half old- so she didn't join in. But the three older girls had a ton of fun running all over the field finding their hidden Easter eggs. They were pretty excited!

These girls are all SO beautiful, so fun and oh-so precious. We had a blast watching them hunt for eggs. Hope everyone had a very Happy Easter!

The Precious

A couple of years ago I got the most precious little kitten from a neighbor. She was only a few weeks old at the time, so I've had her since she was a baby. She was oh-so sweet and precious that I named her 'Precious'. She is evil sometimes though (OK- a lot of the time) and that's when we call her 'THE Precious'. We are dorky, I know.

We were playing one of our favorite games on Sunday, with my side of the family, called Qwirkle. It's super fun. The cat decided she wanted to play too and hopped up on an available chair and just sat there by her game pieces. Pretty cute.

Being Sociable

This past weekend was the 125th Old Folks Sociable in Grantsville. And yes, we were in attendance. A big chunk of our family lived in Grantsville, so we have a lot of family history there. Also- there is a car show every year and Scott wanted to enter his blue baby. So we drove out there and spent the whole day! It was actually pretty fun and Scott and I had a good time spending the day together.

Scott was pretty outraged with the placing of cars for the car show. We were on Studebaker row and next to a PT Cruiser that hadn't even been through a car wash. So it was interesting. They didn't do awards at the show this year- which was a bummer. But it was fun to show off Scott's wheels and to spend time with the fam.

This is the ONLY picture we took all day. Which is pretty lame. We had gone into the high school for a show and when it was over, we ran out to see if we had won anything from the raffle at the car show and we were the only car left out on the field! Everyone else had cleared out. Ha ha. But this is Dani California (the mustang) and Scott. Good Times.

We also bought these really good hamburgers from a street vendor who was at the car show. First time either of us has ever bought food from a street vendor. It was surprisingly tasty! It was "Rick's Corner Grill" or something fancy like that.

We look forward to all the future Sociables to attend!

Kiss Me, I'm Irish

For St. Patrick's Day we decided we should do something festive. We wanted to make an all-green dinner... but I was a slacker and didn't realize it was St. Patrick's Day until the night before. So we decided to go out to dinner with our good friends Eric and Colleeen. We went to an Irish Pub called MacCool's. It is amazing!

We enjoyed the two man band playing traditional Irish music and all the yummy corned beef and cabbage and sweet potato fries! The bummer was that the beer was the only green drink they had. And since we don't drink, we settled with plain drinks. It was a blast though! Scott says this was his first St Patty's Day celebration ever. I was surprised! My mom used to make us green breakfast and green dinner. How fun! We are glad we got to go out with our good friends too.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

When Nostalgia Kicks In

I'm sure all of you know this about me, but I get nostalgic sometimes! I like looking at old pictures and going through scrapbooks from High School etc. It's pretty funny and entertaining to me. I like remembering the good times I've had with friends and family. I was going through the pics on my laptop and found awesome photos of my friend Ambria and the fun things we did together last year around this time. So my nostalgia kicked in and I thought I'd share some fun photos!

This is us in a giant tree at the Muir Wood Forest in San Francisco, CA!

Us at Alcatraz in one of the solitary confinement cells. Ambria was truly frightened.

We went to a baseball game one night

We also loved to go to dances. SO much fun. We went to an 80's dance one night....
I had the greatest outfit ever

Such glorious times. Thanks for all the fun and laughs Ambria!
