Cute...

In a previous blog I posted a photo of my handsome man with a few of his friends- and they are all wearing matching t-shirts. They totally crack me up. Well...in my husbands words: *NERD ALERT* the NEW halo game came out this week and my husband and his friend Eric took a day off work to play! These are their NEW shirts for the occasion:

Gotta love it.

One Year

I can't believe that my man and I have been married for one year all ready! It feels like we were married just a couple months ago. September is the month of the big day and we decided to celebrate all weekend!

Friday Night: Our favorite author was in Salt Lake for a book reading and signing. Terry Brooks (author of the Shannara series) is so funny and clever and just a great author. If you haven't tried his books- you definitely should. It was awesome and so so fun to hear him read a section of his new book coming out next year! And it was great to meet him and get my favorite book of his signed.

Us with Terry Brooks!

Saturday was our actual anniversary. We went out to eat at Tucano's in Provo. That is where we met 4 years ago! Love it. We then stayed at a bed and breakfast called Somewhere Inn Time.

We stayed in the coolest room called "Sleepy Hollow". (MUCH better than the free room we stayed in the night we were married. Ha ha) It had a huge jacuzzi tub that overlooked the back yard and gazebo. It also had a huge TV and couch so we enjoyed watching The Dark Knight and eating a delicious cake I surprised Scott with.

Awesome Room

Fabulous Gifts we surprised each other with. Scott got a car cover for his Mustang and I got a wedding print for our home

Amazing Jacuzzi Tub
Yummy Cake

I had a fabulous weekend with my hubby. I love you so much Scott and can't wait for our next years of marriage. You are the absolute best husband I could ever ask for! Happy One Year Anniversary!!

More Completed Projects

We have been in our home officially over one year! I can't believe how fast the time flies and I can't believe how different our home looks! It is so fun to add your own personal touch to your very own home.

I have had many projects I have wanted to do since we moved in and I have never finished them. One of my main projects for our downstairs huge blank wall- is done! Doesn't look too impressive but it took a lot of time and a lot of my husbands skill for being a perfectionist :)

Voila! Family Wall!

Most of the pictures are from our wedding last September but there are a few pictures not from the wedding because my brother got home from his mission and we have a new niece. But it turned out pretty well and we will just continue to add to it!

Schmidty!

As most of you know, I play the piano. (Or TRY to, anyway) And one of my favorite pianists is Jon Schmidt. His "Waterfall" song is one of my all time favorite songs to play. Well on Saturday my Honey and I went to see him in concert at the Thanksgiving Point Waterfall Amphitheater! I could not believe how many people were there

My man was kind enough to let me drag him out there. But I think he had a good time as well.

The concert was a lot of fun and Jon Schmidt is pretty funny in concert.

Before we went to the concert Scott found a new tree for our backyard. (Still doing lots of work on the yard and fixing it up. We cut down a HUGE apple tree and are planting this new tree) We only own small sporty cars. But the people at the nursery said they could get the tree to fit in the Mazda. This is how Scott drove home. Hysterical.

The Gals

The past few years my old girlfriends and I have somewhat drifted apart. Sad stuff. But I still love them and consider them my best friends.

This weekend we all got together and went to a reception and then went out to eat. We had such good laughs talking about our High School Days and remembering all the random, hysterical stuff we used to do together. I miss these girls and I had such a great time spending the evening with them!

Note to my girls: If you are reading this- We need to get together again soon!! And I mean it! Love you all!

Since we had a girls night out... the boys decided to play some halo. Before I left for my evening all the guys showed up and I was laughing SO hard because they were ALL in the exact same shirt. UNPLANNED- supposedly. It is a shirt that Eric aka Wiggles Brown designed and made for them. It is their halo shirts and it has a picture of Master Cheif (whoever THAT is).

Very cute you guys!

90

Last weekend was Scott's Grandma's 90th birthday celebration! We have been hearing about it and planning it for months. We wanted this to be an amazing party for Grandma that she would never forget. On Saturday we had a big family party at a church in Salt Lake. We had TONS of family members from all over that we have never met before show up. It was a great thing to meet everyone and get to know distant relatives. They are all such nice people!

On Sunday we had a BBQ in the back yard. Scott and I put up the decor. He is pretty productive.

I love my nieces. I know I say it all the time... but I do. They are so fun to chill with. And not to mention the cutest girls ever.

They all had a blast playing in the sand box that uncle Ri-Ri cleaned out for them.

We had great food, great company and great fun!

The celebrating didn't end there tho! Monday night we all went out to dinner to Grandma's favorite restaurant- Joy Luck. (If you haven't tried it, I HIGHLY recommend it. Best Chinese food ever) We had a big group of family and friends show up for this night as well. This is Grandma, Aunt Chris, Mom and one of the waitresses with her birthday cake!

While we were mingling at the dinner party, I was chatting away at my youngest niece. She loves to give me smiles and giggles so I tried to catch it on camera. I would get her to smile so big and the minute I took the picture she would stick her tongue out at me. So cute.

We had a fabulous weekend of partying and celebrating our Grandmothers life. Grandma has always been SO sweet to me and treated me like family ever since I have known Scott. And while we were dating she was always so accepting and loving to me. She is the sweetest and most hilarious lady. We love her and hope she had a very Happy Birthday!

Bouncin' off the Walls

I have been a slacker with blogging lately! So a couple weeks ago we had our family from Idaho in town and we had a blast with them. It was my sister-in-laws birthday as well as my two nieces! So we all went to Bouncin' off the Walls and had ourselves a good time.

Uncle Scott had a good time going down the slide with all the nieces. And so did I.

Our niece Aria loves to wear other peoples shoes. It is pretty cute to see her stumble around with mine on. They matched her outfit pretty well!

And our niece Lexi was having an awesome hair day. CUTENESS.

For the rest of the girls' birthday festivities our sister Kim made an awesome cake and cupcakes. She is a great cake decorator and had a jungle theme for the cakes.

Scott with his cupcake

The girls all wanted to go out and play games in the field. They played "Red Light, Green Light". Pretty cute! We had a blast seeing all the nieces and celebrating their birthdays. We love them all and can't wait to see them again soon!
